The off road motorcycle touring adventure starts in Cluj Napoca where the guide will meet and greet you and give a short briefing for the days to come. Day 2 Somes – Padis

On the second day you will ride on the warm Somes river towards the beautiful Padis Plateau for the midday break. On our way we absolutely must not miss the Cetatile Ponorului Cave. In the afternoon you will enjoy the beautiful free gravel mountain roads of Romania. A well-deserved  dive in the pool back at the hotel will be the perfect relaxing end to a great day.

Day 3 Sunset Mountains peak – Scarisoara Ice Cave

Apart from the fun rides on so many mountain paths, the landscapes of the Sunset Carpathians are extremely picturesque and there is no better way to enjoy that than riding all the way to the top. You’ll reach the highest peak of the Western Carpathians at 1848m and it will be amazing! On the way back you’ll get to chill visiting the Scarisoara Ice Cave. Day 4 Aries River Valley

Today you will ride the Aries River valley, the heart of the Sunset Mountains. A reminder of the richness of these lands and times long gone when the Romans used this river to transport the gold extracted here.  You will enjoy this long day with its perfect mix of gravel, wide valleys and narrow paths through wide spread mountain villages where time stands still.

Day 5 Fantanele Lake

A much needed relaxing and reloading day, on day 5 you will enjoy the beautiful Fantanele Lake by kayak or boat or just laying around by the pool.

Day 6 Mount Gaina Fair

The Girls Fair on Mount Gaina is one of the most important weekend events of the Sunset Mountains. Tradition says that towards the end of the summer all local people would gather on the peak of Mount Gaina to arrange the future of their children. Although this is no longer practiced, the fair is a very popular event among the youth. Back at the hotel you will be enjoying the last evening and dinner in the mountains.

Day 7 Back to Cluj-Napoca

On the last day you will ride towards Cluj-Napoca leaving the Sunset Mountains behind. A lively university city is exactly what’s needed after a week of memorable experiences. Here you will have the last overnight stay in the city and farewell dinner.
